Game development is hard. The only thing that makes it worthwhile is having a great product at the end.

My name is Patrick Gilmore. I’ve been producing games for over 30 years. I am lucky to have been a part of some watershed moments in the history of games, from Sega Genesis Aladdin (breakthroughs in graphics and animation, #2 selling game on the entire Genesis platform), to the storied Medal of Honor series (first ever combat FPS), Strider and Killer Instinct (two classic reboots and Gen8 launch titles from one small studio), New World (Amazon’s massively-scaled first success in games), and still more to come.

In ATTACK PATTERN, I write about game development, quality obsession, team building, leadership, work-life and more.
